The simple flick of a cigarette may have been all it took to spark a massive explosion in the Bronx, sending a fireball into the night sky and and multiple firefighters to the hospital.
It happened on Freeman Drive around 1 a.m. on Oct. 20. The home was vacant at the time of the explosion and fire, as it was listed for sale, officials told CBS News Texas. Firefighters said the home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. Officials said that homes on both sides of the fire were damaged.

The death toll continued to rise a day after a UPS cargo plane, loaded with fuel and bound for Honolulu, crashed shortly past the runway of Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport on Nov. 4, marking the deadliest plane crash in the history of UPS Airlines.
